Mom's Love is unbeatable!!!

Mom's Love is unbeatable!!!

This is one of my favourite shots. My sis has named this female dog “Poochi”. Poochi is not an ordinary street dog. Believe me, she is very affectionate and intelligent dog. She used to jump on me whenever she saw me walking on the road, and this used to be a problem for me. I told her not to do so  and she stopped doing so. Isnt she great??

Greenary!!!

Greenary!!!

Surely pleasing to the eyes is this pic taken in Subramanya. The river has got green colour due to the reflection of the green trees falling on the river.

Shadow

Shadow

“The birds chaunt melody on every bush, The snake lies rolledin the cheerful sun, The green leaves quiver with the cooling wind, And make a checkered SHADOW on the ground; Under their sweet shade, Aaron, let us sit, And whilst the babbling echo mocks the hounds, Replying shrilly to the well-tuned horns, As if a double hunt were heard at once, Let us sit down and mark their yellowing noise; And after conflict such as was supposed The wand’ring prince and Dido once enjoyed, When with a happy storm they were surprised , And curtained with a counsel-keeping cave, We may, each wreathed in the other’s arms, our passtimes done, possess a golden slumber, Whiles hounds and horns and sweet melodious birds Be unto us as is a nurse’s song of lullaby to her babe asleep”.

This was an assignment given by one of my MBA Professors.

Respected Sir,

On the 25th of October, as usual the morning was fresh, sun was still mild and Mother Nature seemed to be in the best of her moods as most of the people were still asleep and the turmoil had not yet started.  I was walking along the route I daily take, when I suddenly heard a loud thud. Never in my life had I heard such a loud and weird noise. As I was doing a surveillance of the area around me to find out from where the smoke was actually coming, I started getting burnt smell that was very strong and choking.  Now, my curiosity arose and I made up my mind to solve this conundrum. Astonishingly, I could see smoke coming from about 40 to 45 feet towards my left. So, I was quite sure that something must be fishy there, as this smoke could not be the traffic smoke since it was early in the morning nor could it be the smoke from the chimney as no one uses them these days. So, I started moving towards smoke at a faster pace, because I wanted to unfold the truth as soon as possible. Many morning walkers started moving towards this point and it had surely become the centre point of attraction. When I reached the point from which smoke was coming out, I was dumbstruck and for a moment I dint know what was in front of me. It was some burnt thing that was quite huge. Some people around me were whispering, some were talking and others were shouting. In the midst of all this commotion, some young people were enjoying all the chaos around them and were smirking. As the commotion was going on, a large number of cops rushed into the scene. I could no more withstand my curiosity, so I finally asked an elderly person standing near me and who was equally amazed as I was, as to what is actually going on. He said that it could be an air crash. I said within myself that I wanted to know the actual facts and not the imaginations of others that would add to my imaginations and create more tumult in my mind. Then this person enquired few more people around us and finally it was concluded by the people that it was an airplane crash. The media now entered the picture to add to the confusion. They were trying to cover the maximum about the incident in their cameras by capturing the pictures of the ill fated plane and interviewing people who had gathered there. As we all stood there watching the activities of the police force, we could see them trying to remove the burnt parts in order to search for the dead bodies. But one thing was sure, that nothing could be recovered in good shape. Everything was totally burnt and black and many things had turned into smoke. It was a total disaster. So many people have lost their precious lives. Many have lost their dear ones. And these losses can never be recovered. Let us all pray that such a thing never happens in future and let the souls of the dead rest in peace. I request the Editor of The times of India to kindly publish this article in the reader’s column.

Could anyone please measure the fog index for this article? It would be really helpful !!!
